Position Overview:
As a Companion Caregiver at our Purcellville location, you’ll be a vital part of our clients’ care journey. You’ll work closely with families to organize and implement care plans, provide direct support with daily tasks, and serve as a compassionate, reliable presence for our clients. As the primary contact for families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, you’ll ensure that each client’s needs are met with empathy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support for activities of daily living (ADLs) and healthcare-related tasks
- Work closely with our clinicians to align care with client therapy goals
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring excellent communication and coordination of care
- Assist with scheduling, light housekeeping, errands, and transportation needs
- Foster a supportive, client-centered experience through empathy and attention to detail
Qualifications:
Required:
- Ability to work on your feet for 4+ hours at a time
- Physical capacity to safely lift and transfer individuals up to 150 lbs
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and commitment to quality care
- Basic technology literacy to coordinate and manage scheduling
Preferred:
- Experience in caregiving for individuals with complex health needs
- Background in creating a high-touch, client-focused care experience
Training & Onboarding:
- Hands-on training with experienced caregivers to learn client routines and care requirements
- Ongoing training for clients under Full Distance clinicians’ care, with updates based on therapy goals
Working Environment:
- 95% direct client care or coordination in the field serving Loudoun County, VA
- Occasional local marketing or promotional events in Purcellville as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs+
- Flexibility to assist with light housekeeping and errands
