A massage session can be very unique. There is an array of massage techniques that are practiced to provide the most beneficial and effective session for each individual. Not only is each session handled with mindful care, but these methodologies also create a space of healing from the moment you arrive to the end of a session. A full session is encouraged to start, but not mandatory. All treatments come with an ayurvedic tea if desired, so it is encouraged to arrive 10 minutes early. This leaves ample time for you to adjust into a mindful space – attentive of what your body is asking to be addressed in the session. This can be a physical and energetic level, through activating each of the 5 senses - sight, sound, touch, taste and smell - infusing the session with other avenues to allow for renewal of the body, mind and spirit. You as the client are involved in making these sessions tailored to you, by choosing the lighting, music type (instrumental, drumming, your own playlist or silent) and any additional healing tools – aromatherapy, warm salt stones, crystal and chakra healing or reflexology. In this full assessment and session, a thorough review of the intake form and method of treatment will be discussed. Massage methods include a mix of Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial and trigger point release, Himalayan stones, lymphatic, reflexology and/or energy healing. Whether you need light, relaxing lymphatic support or deep therapeutic work, this session is catered to each individual.
This session addresses the therapeutic approach and muscular or energetic needs of the client that day and follows treatment plan if applicable. Add-ons can be included.
The extended version of the full session allows for additional add-ons without time constraints. This is the most effective session to invigorate the body physically as well as mentally and spiritually. Includes use of Himalayan Salt Stones.
Himalayan Salt Stones contain 84 naturally occurring minerals. The minerals provide a gentle exfoliation on the skin, provide deeper relaxation and give off negative ions. The body produces an excess of positive ions which leads to inflammation. This session has full use of the salt stones magnifying the reduction of inflammation.
Breathing in the scent of essential oils activates the brain’s limbic system, which, among other functions, controls your emotions. Different oils deliver different benefits, and they are carefully chosen depending on the concerns you have. Some can help lift your mood, reduce anxiety, improve joint and muscle health, relax or energize you. This will include inhalation and topical application.
Reflexology works on the theory that certain areas of our hands and feet are interrelated to other parts of our bodies. There are around 7000 nerve endings in each of our feet. Each of these corresponds to a different body part. Reflexology is similar to acupressure in that both forms of massage pick out specific reflex points and use pressure to stimulate them to resolve recurring internal and external issues. Additionally, the use of aromatherapy essential oils will promote further relaxation.
Balancing your chakras is an excellent way to find balance within your body and mind. Chakra means disk, vortex, or wheel. Chakras are considered energy stations – Memory is energetically coded in your chakras just as it is chemically coded in your neurons. An imprint of every important or emotionally significant event that you’ve experienced is believed to be recorded in your chakra energy. Chakras impact the organs in their proximity and also impact us on an emotional and spiritual level.
